Call costs from landline and mobile networks unified for public broadcasting service

ARD ZDF Deutschlandradio Beitragsservice has standardized the cost of calls from German landline and mobile networks. As of December 1, 2021, all calls to the service are charged at a flat rate of 20 cents per call.

Previously, calls originating from mobile networks incurred a higher cost of up to 60 cents per call, while landline calls were priced differently. This price adjustment aligns with a decision made by the German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) in August 2021, which mandated the equalization of prices for service numbers starting with 0180.

The broadcasting service continues to recommend its online contact forms as the primary method for communication. These digital channels allow users to conveniently manage their accounts, including registration or de-registration of living spaces, updating personal information, or applying for fee exemptions or reductions without incurring telephone charges.
