Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Achieves 89% Positive Rating on Steam
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has secured an 89% positive rating on Steam from over 1700 player reviews, positioning it among the series' highest-rated entries.
IT Home reports that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has received a highly positive reception on the Steam gaming platform, achieving an 89% positive rating based on over 1700 player reviews.
This places the title among the highest-rated installments in the Call of Duty series in over a decade. Player reviews have particularly praised the campaign, despite some pre-release skepticism.
The performance of Modern Warfare 4 is notable when compared to the Steam reception of previous series entries. For instance, Black Ops 7, Black Ops 6, and Modern Warfare 3 received significantly lower positive review percentages, at 36%, 44%, and 48% respectively.
It is important to note that the current ratings primarily reflect the single-player campaign experience. Whether Modern Warfare 4 can sustain this level of positive sentiment remains to be seen. Developer Activision is likely relieved to see positive feedback for the franchise, especially following the critical reception of the previous installment, Black Ops 7.
