Canada Nickel Advances Crawford Nickel Project Towards Construction
Canada Nickel Company Inc. is advancing its Crawford Nickel Sulphide Project towards construction commencement by year-end 2026. Significant progress has been made in permitting and project financing.

Canada Nickel Company Inc. is progressing its Crawford Nickel Sulphide Project with a target to commence construction by the end of 2026. The project, located in the Timmins region of Ontario, represents the second-largest nickel resource and reserve globally.
The project has received endorsement from the Government of Canada and has been named to the Province of Ontario's "One Project, One Process" (1P1P) initiative. These governmental recognitions suggest strong support for the development of the resource, expected to anchor Canada's leadership in clean industrial materials.
Recent advancements include securing key permitting milestones, such as clearing the federal environmental impact assessment and finalizing engineering agreements for power connection with Hydro One. Additionally, the company has partnered with GeoRedox to explore geological hydrogen production at the site.
Canada Nickel has also bolstered its investor base, with significant stakes held by Agnico Eagle, Samsung SDI, and Anglo American. The company recently completed a C$4.97 million private placement of flow-through shares to fund project development, capitalizing on the growing demand from the electric vehicle and stainless steel markets.
The company anticipates a new era for nickel driven by demand for clean, scalable supply. The Crawford project is positioned to meet this demand and potentially establish Timmins as the world's largest nickel sulphide district.
