Canada Nickel Signs MOU with RWE for Low-Carbon Steel Commercialization
Canada Nickel Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with RWE Supply & Trading (RWEST) to support the commercialization of low-carbon stainless and alloy steel.

Canada Nickel Company announced it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with RWE Supply & Trading (RWEST). The agreement aims to support the commercialization of low-carbon stainless and alloy steel, which is intended to be produced by Canada Nickel's Net Zero Metals subsidiary.
RWEST will contribute its European and North American market access and expertise in Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) regulations. This collaboration is a step towards Canada Nickel's goal of establishing a supply of low-carbon steel in response to growing market demand and stricter environmental regulations.
The MOU involves mutual evaluation and development, and RWEST may potentially acquire an interest in the Net Zero Metals subsidiary. RWE is a global energy company, and its involvement could provide significant market entry for Canada Nickel's products.
The partnership is expected to accelerate the commercial adoption of low-carbon steel products in Europe and North America, where regulations like CBAM increasingly favor environmentally conscious production processes.
