CANCOM Opens New Service Factory in Norderstedt to Expand IT Lifecycle Capacity
IT services firm CANCOM has inaugurated a new 4,250-square-meter Service Factory Nord in Norderstedt, Germany. The facility significantly increases the company's capacity for IT device lifecycle services and large-scale workplace deployments in northern Germany.

IT services provider CANCOM has officially opened its new Service Factory Nord in Norderstedt, near Hamburg. The 4,250-square-meter facility expands the company's nationwide capacity for IT device lifecycle services and large-scale workplace deployments.
The Norderstedt site consolidates logistics, device configuration, service coordination, and field service management under one roof. It features 12 automated conveyor lines and approximately 2,800 storage slots. CANCOM anticipates the factory will process up to 1,000 devices daily and configure up to 488 devices simultaneously.
In conjunction with its existing Service Factory in Jettingen-Scheppach, the new location establishes a north-south infrastructure for national customer projects. A primary assignment for the Norderstedt facility will be a contract to equip and support over 100,000 Dataport IT workstations, including device provision, configuration, and service coordination.
CANCOM plans to create up to 100 new jobs in Norderstedt. CEO Rüdiger Rath stated the expansion addresses growing demand for scalable lifecycle services, while Dataport Chairman Dr. Johann Bizer highlighted the facility's role in supporting public administration digitalization.
