10 October 2026

Canon has introduced the EOS M50 Mark II camera, designed for content creators and vloggers. This successor to the popular EOS M50 aims to simplify the creation and sharing of high-quality content for social media platforms such as YouTube and Instagram.

The new model offers several improvements over its predecessor. It supports Full HD and 4K video livestreaming, including direct YouTube livestreaming via Wi-Fi. The included Canon EOS Webcam Utility software allows the camera to function as a high-quality USB webcam.

The EOS M50 Mark II features a 24.1-megapixel APS-C sensor and can record video in both vertical and horizontal formats. The device includes a 3.5 mm microphone input for external microphones, as well as HDMI and USB ports. A vari-angle touchscreen and electronic viewfinder provide shooting flexibility in various scenarios.

Canon states the camera is suitable for both photo and video production. It is compatible with Canon's EF-M lenses and, via adapter, also with EF and EF-S lenses, offering a wide range of creative options. The camera is expected to be available from late March, with a body-only retail price of €609.
