Canon launches "Free Your Story" photo contest across Europe

Canon Europe N.V. has announced the "Free Your Story" photography contest, inviting participants from various European and Middle Eastern countries. To be eligible, contestants must be at least 18 years old and reside in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, the Republic of Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, or the United Kingdom.

The contest requires participants to submit photographs or videos interpreting themes such as "Mirror Selfie" and "Forced Perspective" through the dedicated contest webpage. Submissions are open from August 24 to September 21, 2020. Entry into the competition is free, with no purchase necessary.

By entering, participants grant Canon the right to publish and use their submitted media on Canon's websites, social media platforms, and other promotional channels in connection with the contest. Prizes include Canon cameras and a chance to attend a masterclass with a Canon professional.

Contest terms stipulate that all submissions must be original work by the participant. Entries must not feature recognizable individuals without their explicit consent, nor include third-party copyrighted material, logos, or brand names without proper authorization. Canon reserves the right to disqualify entries containing obscene, offensive, or infringing content.
