Canon launches new imageFORCE C1700 series A4 multifunction devices

Canon has launched its new imageFORCE C1700 series of A4 multifunction devices, targeting medium-sized businesses and internal departments. The new series aims to deliver high-quality A4 printing, efficient copying and scanning, and enhanced security features in a compact system.

The devices are particularly suited for finance, legal, and human resources departments, as well as customer-facing teams. Canon highlights the series' support for digitalization and automated workflows through cloud connectivity, enhancing efficiency in modern work environments.

Key features include Canon's Security Environment Estimation Technology, which uses machine learning to recommend and apply optimal security settings for the network environment. The devices also incorporate encryption, multi-factor authentication, and automatic firmware recovery for robust business operations. Ease of use is supported by a large 7-inch touchscreen and fast print and scan speeds.

Energy efficiency has also been improved, with a typical electricity consumption (TEC) up to 45 percent lower than previous models. Recycled materials, including plastic and steel, are used in manufacturing. The robust welded frame construction contributes to a longer service life.

Canon is also introducing the i-SENSYS MF851Cdw for smaller offices. The imageFORCE C1700 series will be available through Canon's direct sales channels and authorized partners, while the i-SENSYS MF851Cdw will be sold through distribution channels.
