Canon reported growth in both revenue and net profit for the second quarter of its 2026 fiscal year. The company announced that net profit for the quarter ending June 30 reached 171.18 billion yen (approximately $1.06 billion), an increase of 9.8% compared to the same period last year.
Total revenue for the quarter rose by 3.5% to 2.27 trillion yen. Canon's gross profit grew by 8.42% to 1.12 trillion yen, with the gross margin improving to 49.4%. Cash flow from operations showed a significant strengthening, increasing by 29.28% to 205.42 billion yen.
Looking ahead, Canon has updated its full-year 2026 forecast, projecting revenue to reach 4.80 trillion yen, a 3.8% increase. The company expects its net profit for the full fiscal year to be 340 billion yen, a 2.4% rise from the previous year.
Canon also confirmed its plan to distribute dividends totaling 160 yen per share for the full fiscal year 2026, maintaining its commitment to shareholder returns. The company's diversified business segments, including imaging, medical systems, and industrial products, all contributed to growth during the reporting period.
