Canon to Showcase Cinema Technology at EnergaCAMERIMAGE Film Festival

Canon is set to attend and support the EnergaCAMERIMAGE 2018 international film festival, taking place in Bydgoszcz, Poland, from November 10 to 17. The event will allow cinematographers and Directors of Photography (DOPs) to experience Canon's Cinema EOS cameras and cine lenses firsthand at the company's stand.

The festival, now in its 26th edition, celebrates the artistry and technical mastery of cinematography. As an official sponsor, Canon will host several talks and workshops throughout the event.

Highlights include a seminar with award-winning DOP Nancy Schreiber, ASC, who will discuss her experience using the Canon EOS C700 FF camera for her short film "A Dishful of Dollars." Schreiber's session will delve into the camera's tonal range and capabilities, as well as her approach to using anamorphic lenses.

Screenings will feature films and trailers such as "Refugium" by Ember Films and the short documentary "George and George on the Lake" by Piotr Małecki, both shot with Canon equipment. Seminars following these screenings will explore the practical applications of the Cinema EOS system and the creative decisions made by the filmmakers.

Canon will also collaborate with the Warsaw Film School to exhibit student work, discussing how their creative visions were realized with the available tools. The festival provides a venue for industry professionals to engage with new technology and network.
