The Canton Fair Buyers Alliance was officially established on October 15 in Guangzhou, during the opening of the 140th session of the trade fair. The launch event was attended by more than 140 international buyers, underscoring the fair's role as a connector between global commerce and China's export sector.
The alliance's formation coincides with the fair's 70th anniversary. Luís Vilariça, CEO of Joinco, Import & Export, Ltd., spoke at the ceremony, reflecting on his company's long-standing participation and the growth opportunities facilitated by collaborations with Chinese suppliers.
The alliance is designed to provide prioritized benefits to its members, targeting Fortune Global 500 companies, top 250 global retailers, and leading sourcing enterprises. It aims to serve as a platform for information sharing and resource coordination among its members.
The inaugural cohort includes 58 companies from 32 countries and regions across five continents. Members will receive benefits in areas such as services, events, resources, and information, representing a key service innovation for the Canton Fair to enhance international trade partnerships.
