The 140th Canton Fair commenced its first phase on October 15, focusing on advanced manufacturing and running through October 19. The event serves as a platform to showcase the latest achievements in China's manufacturing and technology sectors, particularly in consumer electronics and information products.

A significant focus is placed on smart living solutions designed to support healthier, safer, and more independent lifestyles. These include wearable health monitoring devices, such as continuous glucose monitors, and assistive technologies like wearable exoskeletons and AI-powered devices for mobility training and functional recovery. For home and elderly care, innovations such as companion robots, electric nursing beds, and home-use hyperbaric oxygen chambers are presented.

The Service Robot Zone is a major attraction, featuring a variety of robots from compact humanoid models that entertain visitors to sophisticated machines for industrial and emergency applications. One popular exhibit is a small humanoid robot, noted for its agility derived from independently developed high-power-density joints and modular design, allowing for diverse future applications.
