Canva Adds Over 1,000 Font Styles Through Expanded Monotype Partnership
Canva and Monotype have expanded their partnership, adding over 1,000 new font styles to the visual communication platform. The expansion significantly broadens typographic choices for languages including Arabic, Hindi, and Vietnamese.

Canva, the global visual communication platform, and Monotype, a leader in type and technology, have expanded their partnership to offer creators over 1,000 additional font styles. This move significantly increases typographic choice for users, particularly for languages that have historically had fewer professional-quality font options.
The expansion brings substantial additions across Arabic, Bengali, Hindi, Khmer, Lao, Thai, and Vietnamese. This broadens the available styles for users creating content across diverse markets and communities. The total number of Monotype and foundry partner font styles now available in Canva exceeds 3,000.
Canva users translated over 17 million designs in 2025, indicating a high volume of multilingual content creation on the platform. The expanded font library aims to provide creators with more distinctiveness and variety within these languages, allowing for more expressive visual communication.
Significant increases in typographic choice are seen in Hindi, Bengali, and Vietnamese. Hindi gains 99 font families and 298 styles, Bengali adds 72 families and 237 styles, and Vietnamese receives 114 families with 249 styles. New options are also being introduced for Arabic, Khmer, Lao, and Thai.
This collaboration builds upon the partnership established in 2023. Since then, Monotype's fonts have been used in over one billion Canva designs, highlighting the demand for diverse typographic resources among Canva's global user base.
