Canva enters AI image generation market with Canva Craft
Design platform Canva has unveiled Canva Craft, a new AI image generation model that employs a two-stage planning and rendering process.
Canva has introduced Canva Craft, an AI-powered image generation model designed to compete with industry standards established by OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google. The tool supports image generation at 2K resolution and offers compatibility with more than 30 aspect ratios.
The model utilizes a distinct two-stage architecture that mandates a planning phase prior to the actual image generation. This process is intended to provide greater control over visual output, aiming to improve consistency and precision in complex design tasks.
While the platform is already widely used for social media and marketing assets, Canva Craft expands the company's capabilities into areas such as digital art and environmental imagery. The move represents an effort to deepen the integration of generative AI within Canva’s existing design ecosystem.
