Capillary Technologies Promoter Sells Stake Worth ₹172 Crore

Capillary Technologies International Pte Ltd., a promoter entity, sold a significant stake in the listed SaaS company Capillary Technologies on Monday for ₹171.5 crore. The transaction occurred in a bulk deal on the stock exchange.

According to BSE data, the Singapore-based holding company sold 3.29 million shares at ₹520.86 each. The deal was executed at a slight discount of 0.02% to the stock's closing price on the previous trading day. This sale reduced the promoter entity's shareholding in the company by over 8.5 percentage points.

The divestment follows a period of volatility for the company's stock. While shares have seen a recent uptick, they are down over 22.5% year-to-date, though they have risen 3.85% in the past month. The promoter's decision to sell appears to be a profit-taking measure amid these market movements.

Capillary Technologies recently reported a net loss of ₹9.6 crore for the first quarter of FY27, a reversal from a profit in the same period last year. However, operating revenue increased by 42% year-on-year to ₹256.6 crore. The company also faced a cyber-enabled banking fraud incident at a Czech subsidiary last month, resulting in a loss of approximately ₹32.7 crore, which has added to market concerns.

Founded in 2008, Capillary Technologies provides AI-powered loyalty management and customer engagement solutions. Its client base includes major companies such as Tata Digital, Domino's, Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, and Arvind Fashion. The company's stock closed 7.09% lower at ₹521.95 on the BSE following the announcement.
