CapMan and FSC to Pilot Verified Biodiversity Measurement in Forest Investments

CapMan Natural Capital and FSC International & Partnerships (FSC I&P) have initiated a strategic collaboration to explore the use of FSC Verified Impact across selected forest investment portfolios in European markets. The project is set to begin in Finland in 2026 and expand to other key European forestry regions in 2027.

The initiative aims to verify measurable environmental and social outcomes from responsibly managed forests. This will enable investors to assess biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, positive social impacts, and long-term value creation alongside financial performance.

CapMan Natural Capital stated that the partnership responds to growing investor demand for credible and transparent sustainability outcomes. FSC I&P indicated that it reflects a broader financial market shift from commitments to measurable results.

The collaboration will involve forest investments within the CapMan Dasos European Forest Fund IV portfolio. It will bring together expertise from CapMan, FSC I&P, and FSC offices across Europe to develop practical insights for natural capital strategies and investment decision-making.
