Caracal Launches Baltimore Hub for Health Care Recycling Services

Caracal Products & Services has launched a new Baltimore location dedicated to healthcare recycling and medical equipment recovery. The 9,000-square-foot facility will serve as a regional hub to support healthcare providers' sustainability goals.

The new center, located at 2-6 Alco Place, will facilitate Caracal's recycling programs, which focus on capturing and reprocessing materials like polypropylene and polyethylene commonly discarded in healthcare settings. This initiative aims to reduce waste, lower disposal costs, and divert materials from landfills.

"Healthcare generates enormous waste, and Caracal is ready to help organizations turn their sustainability commitments into measurable results," said Paul Sessions, VP and General Manager of Recycling at Caracal. The facility is equipped with industrial balers to compress recyclable materials before they are shipped for processing.

The Baltimore hub is Caracal's third U.S. location, joining existing facilities in New York and Charlotte, North Carolina. The company plans further expansion along the East Coast in response to growing demand for sustainable healthcare solutions.
