Carbios appoints Tommy Maussin as Chief Marketing Officer
Biotech firm Carbios has named Tommy Maussin as its new Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Committee member. He is tasked with scaling the company's global commercial presence across multiple industries.

Carbios, a developer of enzyme-based plastic and textile recycling processes, announced on September 3 the appointment of Tommy Maussin as its Chief Marketing Officer. Effective September 2, Maussin joins the Executive Committee and will report to CEO Emmanuel Ladent.
Maussin is charged with overseeing the company’s global marketing and sales activities. His primary mandate involves engaging with brands across sectors including packaging, automotive, textiles, and luxury goods to secure and scale commercial agreements. The move comes as Carbios pushes to move its biological recycling technology into larger industrial applications.
Maussin brings over 17 years of experience from Michelin, where he most recently served as the European Director and Vice President of the company's lifestyle division. During his tenure at Michelin, he was credited with restructuring the business model for the Michelin Guide and Robert Parker Wine Advocate, resulting in significant revenue growth. He holds an engineering degree from ICAM and a postgraduate degree in international business strategy from ESSEC.
As Carbios transitions from development to industrial-scale operations, the company is prioritizing its ability to partner with major consumer brands. Maussin's background in international business development is expected to support the company’s objective of establishing its recycling processes as a standard in the material supply chain.
