CARBIOS – Bioteknology company Carbios announced on Tuesday that its Chief Executive Officer, Emmanuel Ladent, has stepped down from his position. The company's Board Chair, Carole Piolin, will temporarily assume the role of CEO.
Ladent has led Carbios since 2018. Piolin, who has served as Chair of the Board since 2017, will now guide the company, which is developing enzymatic recycling technology for plastics.
Carbios is known for its innovative process that depolymerizes PET plastics into their original monomers, enabling infinite recycling. This sustainable approach aims to reduce plastic waste and reliance on fossil fuels.
The company stated that the search for a new permanent CEO is underway. Carbios continues its focus on commercializing its technology and building strategic partnerships to address global plastic pollution.
