Caregility and Ascom Integrate Virtual Nursing into Hospital Workflows

Caregility and Ascom announced a new partnership integrating virtual nursing services into hospital clinical workflows. The new integration enables hospital staff to initiate virtual nursing support directly from the Ascom Telligence nurse call system within a patient's room.

The collaboration aims to streamline nursing processes and enhance patient support. When bedside caregivers use familiar Ascom Telligence controls, such as a wall-mounted button, to request assistance, the call connects them to a remote clinician through Caregility's platform. This allows for timely support without requiring staff to leave the patient's bedside or disrupt ongoing care.

The integration seeks to reduce the burden of routine tasks and improve consistency in care delivery. Virtual nurses can assist with admissions, discharge readiness, patient and family education, and documentation. This collaborative model is intended to free up bedside caregivers to focus more on patient assessment, intervention, and hands-on care.

Through this partnership, Caregility joins Ascom's Care Square interoperability ecosystem, which brings together technology and service partners to develop digital health solutions. The goal is to build connected care environments within hospitals that leverage existing technology and improve information flow between different systems.
