Cargill and John Deere collaborate to streamline farmer adoption of sustainable practices

Cargill and John Deere have announced a collaboration aimed at simplifying the digital and in-field experience for farmers participating in Cargill's RegenConnect program.

The partnership will integrate John Deere's Operations Center platform with Cargill RegenConnect, an initiative that financially incentivizes farmers for adopting regenerative agriculture practices. These practices, such as cover cropping and reduced tillage, are designed to improve soil health and reduce the agricultural supply chain's carbon footprint.

Farmers will be able to use their existing precision agriculture data stored in the John Deere Operations Center to enroll in the RegenConnect program. This integration is expected to save farmers time and improve the accuracy of farm data used for environmental outcome verification. The streamlined functionality will be rolled out and enhanced over several years.

The Cargill RegenConnect program is currently in its third year and is available to John Deere Operations Center users in 24 U.S. states. Enrollment for the 2023 program is open until September 15. John Deere dealers will provide support and information on eligible technologies and equipment.
