Cargotec Appoints Casimir Lindholm as President and CEO
Cargotec has appointed Casimir Lindholm as its new President and CEO, effective April 1, 2023. Lindholm, who has been a member of Cargotec's Board of Directors since 2021, will transition from the board to assume his new role.
Cargotec Corporation has named Casimir Lindholm as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2023. Lindholm will take over from Mika Vehviläinen, who will continue in his position until the transition date.
Lindholm, who holds an M.Sc. (Econ.) and an MBA, brings extensive leadership experience from his previous roles as CEO of Eltel and Lemminkäinen. His prior involvement as a member of Cargotec's Board of Directors since 2021 provides him with a deep understanding of the company's operations and strategic direction.
In his statement, Lindholm expressed his honor and excitement to lead Cargotec at a significant juncture for the company. He highlighted the strong foundation, clear vision for growth, talented team, and commitment to sustainability and profitable growth as key strengths.
Jaakko Eskola, Chair of Cargotec's Board of Directors, described Lindholm as a seasoned leader with a proven track record in business transformation. Mika Vehviläinen, who has served as CEO since 2013, announced his intention to retire in 2023 and will remain available to the board as an advisor until the end of February 2024.
