Carisk Partners Acquires FirstCare Onsite

Carisk Partners, a specialty risk transfer, care coordination, and clinical services company for the workers' compensation market, has announced its acquisition of FirstCare Onsite. FirstCare specializes in providing occupational health services directly at the workplace.

The acquisition aims to connect the care process from the point of injury through recovery. FirstCare's established model of delivering care on-site will be integrated with Carisk's broader clinical capabilities. This expands Carisk's reach to the earliest stages of an injury, enabling immediate support for injured workers at their job sites and facilitating a pathway to more complex clinical care when needed.

FirstCare's model focuses on evaluating and treating injuries as they occur in the workplace. The company reports that approximately 30% of workplace injuries are resolved without escalating into formal workers' compensation claims. This approach will be supported and scaled under Carisk's ownership.

When an injury requires more extensive intervention, Carisk can provide a direct connection to specialty care, complex care management, behavioral health services, and other necessary clinical support. The objective is to ensure injured workers receive the appropriate care as quickly as possible, facilitating a safe and timely return to health and work.
