CARKU Expands to Europe with Next-Generation Sodium-Ion Technology

Jump-start manufacturer CARKU announced its expansion into the European market. The company is simultaneously introducing a new generation of sodium-ion technology for its products.

The European market entry occurs ahead of the automotive aftermarket trade season and the upcoming EU ECGT directive, which will apply across all EU member states starting September 27, 2026. The directive aims to enhance the durability and repairability of electric vehicles.

CARKU is positioning its new technology as an alternative to traditional lithium-ion batteries. Sodium-ion batteries are considered potentially more cost-effective and environmentally friendly to produce, utilizing widely available raw materials.

Through this expansion and technological shift, CARKU aims to strengthen its position in the European automotive aftermarket and meet the increasing demand for more sustainable energy solutions in the automotive sector.
