Carnival Begins Construction on New 'Ace Class' Cruise Ship
Carnival Cruise Line has commenced construction on its new 'Ace Class' of cruise ships in Italy. Carnival Destiny, the first vessel in the series, is scheduled to enter service in summer 2029.

Carnival Cruise Line has officially initiated the construction phase for its next generation of cruise ships, dubbed the "Ace Class." The first vessel in this series, named Carnival Destiny, marked its beginning with a traditional steel-cutting ceremony at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. The ship is slated to enter service in the summer of 2029.
The ceremony also revealed the ship's name and featured a 3D hologram presentation, offering a first look at Carnival's future at sea. The steel-cutting event signifies a major milestone in the shipbuilding process, indicating the project's progression.
Carnival Destiny will be the first of three sister ships scheduled for deployment in the coming years. The Ace Class vessels represent Carnival's investment in its future fleet and are intended to include new design features focused on ocean views.
Carnival has a collaboration spanning over 30 years with the Italian shipbuilding company Fincantieri. This sustained partnership has yielded multiple significant vessels for the company's fleet.
