Carol Overton Joins Signature Resolution Mediation Panel
Signature Resolution announced that Hon. Carol Overton (Ret.) has joined its panel of neutrals. Overton brings extensive legal experience from her judicial career to mediate and arbitrate civil disputes.
Santa Clara, Calif. – Oct. 9, 2026 – Signature Resolution has added the Hon. Carol Overton (Ret.) to its panel of neutrals. Overton will mediate and arbitrate a wide range of civil disputes, including employment, probate, contracts, torts, personal injury, business litigation, real property, and family law matters.
Overton served on the Santa Clara County Superior Court, where she presided over various calendars before focusing on settlement and alternative dispute resolution in her later years. She is noted for providing direct assessments to parties and patiently guiding them toward resolution.
Dario Higuchi, Founder and CEO of Signature Resolution, stated that Overton has a "real gift for telling people hard truths in a way that moves them toward agreement." She was recognized as the "John D. Foley Judge of the Year" in 2024.
Overton earned her law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law and a bachelor's degree from UCLA. Signature Resolution, founded in 2017, offers mediation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution services with a panel of experienced judges and attorneys.
