Carrum Mobility Raises $10 Million From Uber

B2B fleet management startup Carrum Mobility announced it has raised $10 million (approximately ₹96 crore) from ride-hailing major Uber as part of its Series B funding round. This marks Uber's second investment in Carrum, following an earlier funding round in January 2026.

The newly raised capital is earmarked for expanding Carrum's operations across existing and new markets, strengthening its technology platform, scaling operations, and growing its team. The funding will also support the expansion of its core mobility business and Uber Black services throughout India.

Carrum stated that its business scale has nearly doubled since the previous funding round. Founded in 2024 by Karan Jain, the startup operates a technology-driven fleet management platform focused on CNG and electric vehicles. The company currently manages a fleet of over 5,000 vehicles across six Indian cities and plans to launch operations in Chennai in September 2026.

The startup claims to have remained profitable since its inception and reports an annualized revenue run rate of approximately ₹400 crore. Uber's investment is expected to increase the availability of premium vehicles on its platform and support the expansion of Uber Black services in Indian cities.
