Carrum Mobility reports growth through Uber fleet partnership
Indian logistics firm Carrum Mobility has reached 233 million rupees in revenue by managing a 5,500-vehicle fleet exclusively for ride-hailing platform Uber.

Gurugram-based Carrum Mobility has emerged as a major fleet management operator, reporting 233 million rupees in operating revenue for fiscal year 2026. Founded in 2024 by Karan Jain, the company manages a network of 5,500 vehicles and over 28,000 drivers, facilitating more than 35,000 daily rides. The firm maintains profitability through a model where it provides vehicles and maintenance, while drivers bear fuel costs.
The startup serves as a critical supplier for Uber, particularly for the Uber Black service, which generates a significantly higher monthly revenue per vehicle compared to standard tiers. Uber has demonstrated its commitment to this partnership by investing $17 million into Carrum this year. Carrum leverages data analytics to optimize fleet performance, aiming to reduce vehicle downtime and increase driver earnings.
Despite its profitable trajectory, Carrum faces risks associated with its heavy reliance on a single platform. Industry analysts note that any adjustments to Uber's commercial terms could materially impact the company's financial health. To mitigate this dependency, management is currently evaluating expansion into adjacent sectors, such as corporate employee transport and private chauffeur services, to diversify its client base.
