Wuppertal – Dr. Carsten Bittner was appointed as a new member of the akf Group's advisory board at the company's meeting on April 28. Bittner's addition enhances the board of the Wuppertal-based specialist financier with his expertise in the financial industry.

"We welcome Dr. Carsten Bittner to the akf Group. He brings deep knowledge of digital transformation, technological innovation, and strategic banking, along with international experience from leading positions in the finance and technology sectors," stated Dr. Frank Henes, CEO of akf bank.

Bittner, 54, has served as a board member and Chief Innovation & Technology Officer (CI&TO) at the Dutch bank ABN AMRO since 2023. In this role, he is responsible for IT, cybersecurity, data, innovation, operations, and customer care. Previously, he worked at companies including Accenture and Commerzbank, where he drove technological transformation.

Bittner cited his desire to contribute to akf Group's growth and efficiency through technology as a key reason for his decision. "The akf Group combines stability with a strong will for development. I look forward to providing constructive input and accompanying further development," Bittner said.

Akf Bank CEO Henes believes Bittner will bring important new impulses to the company's future strategy, particularly in digitalization and innovation.
