Cary Group Acquires Vehicle Repair Company in Sweden

Cary Group is continuing its expansion in the Nordic region with the acquisition of a 90% stake in Gotlands Plåt & Billack AB. The Visby-based company specializes in vehicle damage and body repair for multiple car brands and is an approved supplier to insurance companies.

The acquired company reported a turnover of SEK 22 million in 2022 and has 10 employees. Founded in 2015, Gotlands Plåt & Billack AB is run by Lars-Åke Hägglund and its team includes a majority of sheet metal damage technicians and painters.

This will be our third workshop in Sweden with a focus on damage and body repair and thus a good complement to our business for replacing and repairing vehicle glass. This acquisition follows previous strategic purchases by Cary Group in the Nordic region, including Danish Crashpoint A/S, Norwegian Quick Car Fix and MPS Bilskade AS, and Swedish companies Autoklinik i Malmö AB and Sveaplans Bil, Plåt & Lack. These combined acquisitions have added approximately SEK 330 million in turnover within this sector.
