Cary Group Acquires Workshop in Rostock
Zentrale Autoglas, part of Cary Group, has acquired a vehicle glass workshop in Rostock, Germany, strengthening its presence in northern Germany. The acquisition took effect on July 1, 2026.
Zentrale Autoglas, a specialist in bus and coach glazing and part of Cary Group, has acquired the Rostock-based auto glass business Zentrale Autoglas as of July 1, 2026. The acquisition strengthens Zentrale Autoglas's presence in northern Germany and establishes an operation in Rostock.
The Rostock facility provides vehicle glass repair and replacement services for passenger cars, buses, and commercial vehicles. The business shares its name with the existing Zentrale Autoglas operations, allowing for the continuation of the established brand. The experienced local team is expected to remain with the company.
"Rostock is an excellent strategic fit for us. Together with a long-standing partner, we had the opportunity to acquire a well-established business with a strong market position," said Helge Prigge, Managing Director of Zentrale Autoglas GmbH. He noted that the existing team provides a solid foundation for continued growth.
Fred Pluschkell, founder of the Rostock business, will continue in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth transition. He stated that becoming part of the nationwide Zentrale Autoglas is beneficial for the business, and they look forward to offering customers enhanced services.
