Cary Group Expands European Presence Through Multiple Acquisitions
Cary Group has acquired a number of automotive glass and repair businesses across Europe, strengthening its market position and expanding its service offerings.
Swedish-based Cary Group has significantly bolstered its presence in the European automotive glass and repair sector through a series of strategic acquisitions. This expansion enhances the company's reach in key markets and broadens its service portfolio.
The recent acquisitions span several countries, including the UK, Poland, the Netherlands, and Portugal. These acquisitions target local and regional specialists in areas such as windscreens replacement and repair, as well as glazing services for specialized vehicles.
Notable acquisitions include Rapid Windscreens Ltd, Autoscreens Direct Limited, and Nationwide Windscreens York Ltd in the UK, aimed at strengthening market share. In Poland, Cary Group acquired Szybex, and in the Netherlands, it expanded through the purchase of AGS Holland Distribution B.V. The acquisition of Newcar in Portugal under the EXPRESSGLASS brand and Glazing Services further diversifies the company's operations.
Cary Group has also reported progress on sustainability initiatives, including its commitment to the SBTi Net Zero Standard and the implementation of internal carbon pricing. In recognition of its growth, CEO Anders Jensen was awarded Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur Of The Year for International Growth.
