Cary Group opens new distribution centre to improve glass supply

Cary Group's UK operation, National Windscreens, has officially opened a new 12,000 square meter distribution centre in Bolsover. This facility represents a significant investment designed to enhance customer service, support future growth, and expand the product portfolio nationwide.

The new distribution centre is built to house over 200,000 glass units, stacked up to 12 meters high. The increased storage capacity is intended to strengthen service levels through optimized order picking, faster replenishment, and greater product availability.

"This isn’t just about bigger space, it’s about smarter service," said Stuart Boon, UK Managing Director. "The Bolsover Distribution Centre enhances our stock availability, delivery times, and provides access to an even broader range of products."

The warehouse features custom racking for safe glass handling, advanced warehouse management software, and AI-assisted specialist equipment for precision order picking at height. The facility also incorporates environmental considerations, including solar panels, air-source heat pumps, and EV charging points.
