Cary Group Streamlines Norway Operations, Sells Glass Workshops
Cary Group is divesting parts of its Norwegian car glass operations to Riis Montasje AS, focusing on collision repair where it holds a market-leading position.

Cary Group, a European leader in vehicle glass repair and replacement, has decided to streamline its operations in Norway. The company will now focus solely on collision damage repair through its subsidiaries MPS Bilskade and Quick Car Fix. This strategic shift involves selling 12 of its Cary Bilglass workshops to Norwegian company Riis Montasje AS.
The decision follows a strategic review where Cary Group aims to concentrate on business areas where it is the market leader. While Cary Group has established a strong presence in the Norwegian car glass market since 2014, it seeks to bolster its leading position in collision damage repair. The company acquired MPS Bilskade in 2022 and Quick Car Fix in 2021 to expand in this sector.
Cary Group stated that its collaboration with insurance companies in Norway has not been as successful as in other markets. The sale to Riis Montasje, described as a high-quality auto glass chain, is seen as beneficial for the divested workshops, allowing them to integrate into a larger Norwegian market player. The remaining car glass workshops not included in the sale will be closed.
The transaction is subject to regulatory review and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. Cary Group continues its strategy of being a top-tier player in its respective markets across Europe.
