Cary Group's Expressglass launches new road safety business area
Expressglass, a subsidiary of Cary Group, has launched SafeDrive, a new business area specializing in road safety and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). The initiative aims for market leadership in Portugal.

Expressglass, a Portuguese provider of automotive glass repair and replacement services and part of Cary Group, has established a new business area named SafeDrive. This unit will focus on road safety technologies, including Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS).
The launch of SafeDrive follows Expressglass's acquisition of the ADAS business unit from CardioID Technologies. This strategic move aims to expand Expressglass's service offerings beyond traditional glass repair and replacement into the growing field of vehicle safety technology.
The SafeDrive portfolio includes technologies such as SafeAssist, an AI-driven driving assistance system; SafeLocation, a telematics solution for fleet management; and SafeAware, which utilizes Mobileye technology to detect blind spots, particularly for buses and school transport. Additionally, Safelock, an alcohol interlock system for trucks and buses, will be offered.
Joana Marques, CEO of Expressglass, stated that the acquisition positions the company to become a national leader in the ADAS market. SafeDrive is expected to provide complementary services to insurance and fleet customers, enhancing the company's overall value proposition in the automotive aftermarket.
