Cascades Launches 100% Recycled Paperboard for High-Quality Packaging Prints
Cascades Inc. has launched Cascades lithoURB, a paperboard made from 100% recycled fibers designed for high-end lithographic printing on consumer packaging.
Cascades Inc. has introduced Cascades lithoURB, a new paperboard manufactured entirely from recycled fibers. The product is engineered to meet market demand for high-quality lithographic printing on corrugated and folding carton packaging.
The material is designed to offer exceptional visual rendering while maintaining the natural character of brown recycled paperboard. According to Cascades, lithoURB provides enhanced print quality and mechanical performance compared to other recycled options, supporting the circular economy without compromise.
This new paperboard targets sectors such as food processing, beverages, and consumer goods, particularly for brands emphasizing eco-responsible, organic, or artisanal attributes. Packaging produced with lithoURB can be certified FSC® Mix or 100% recycled, is pre-qualified as recyclable by How2Recycle®, and meets BRCGS food safety requirements.
Cascades lithoURB has already received industry recognition, including the Sustainability in the Food Industry Award and a finalist nomination for the Retail Council of Canada's Retail Sustainability Awards. The launch aims to solidify Cascades' position as a provider of premium, sustainable packaging solutions in the North American market.
