The CASI Sustainability Forum concluded recently in Casablanca Finance City, Morocco, following a two-day event dedicated to advancing sustainable finance and green technologies. The forum aimed to strengthen Africa's capabilities in implementing sustainable investment and technology solutions.
Organized by CASI (Capacity-building Alliance of Sustainable Investment) in partnership with BANK OF AFRICA and supported by the Casablanca Finance City Authority (CFCA), the event drew hundreds of experts, policymakers, and stakeholders from across Africa and internationally.
The forum's primary objective was to build capacity in sustainable financing and green technologies to support Africa's economic development. Discussions highlighted the need for increased investment in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and other environmentally friendly sectors on the continent.
Furthermore, regulatory frameworks, financing mechanisms, and skills development were addressed to enable Africa to fully capitalize on sustainable development opportunities. CASI committed to follow-up actions based on the forum's outcomes.
