This call follows a recent incident where a long-term forum member lost £1,375 in just three minutes.

The player's account at a UKGC-licensed online casino was compromised. An unauthorized Revolut card, which the player did not own, was added to the account. Subsequently, two fraudulent withdrawals totaling £1,375 were processed within a three-minute timeframe while the player was unaware and not actively using the account.

Casinomeister argues that implementing 2FA would significantly enhance account security, preventing unauthorized access even if login credentials are stolen. The platform stated that this is not an isolated incident, having encountered multiple cases where players have lost funds due to fraudulent activities on online gambling sites.

This case raises concerns about the current security protocols employed by online casinos and the effectiveness of the UKGC's oversight. Casinomeister aims to push for regulatory changes that better protect consumers within the online gambling industry.
