Tokyo – Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced its expansion into the virtual world with the introduction of G-SHOCK brand experiences on the Roblox platform as part of its VIRTUAL G-SHOCK project. This initiative will provide virtual versions of iconic G-SHOCK timepieces as avatar items for Roblox users.

Roblox, a platform with over 150 million daily active users and significant popularity among younger demographics, allows users to customize avatars and express personal style. Casio is releasing 12 distinct watch items, including virtual renditions of popular models like the DW-5600 and GA-2100, available in six color variations each. These items are designed to complement various avatar styles.

In addition to virtual merchandise, Casio is launching "Challenge the Skate Obby: G-SHOCK," a dedicated virtual world. This experience, built on the popular Roblox 'obby' (obstacle course) game format, features a skateboarding-themed challenge. The course is inspired by G-SHOCK's real-world durability testing, pushing players to overcome obstacles to reach the goal.

The introduction of virtual watches and a branded game aims to connect with a younger consumer base and reinforce G-SHOCK's image as a brand synonymous with durability and street culture. This move signifies Casio's strategy to establish a presence in digital spaces frequented by its target audience. The virtual items and game world were made available starting July 15.
