Casio to Release Limited-Edition MR-G Watch for 30th Anniversary
Casio has announced a limited edition MR-G timepiece, with only 800 units available worldwide, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the G-SHOCK MR-G line.
Casio Computer Co., Ltd. has launched a new MR-G timepiece, marking the 30th anniversary of the G-SHOCK brand's flagship shock-resistant watch line. The MRG-B2100HR model will be produced in a limited run of 800 units globally.
The watch features a dimensional latticework dial inspired by "kigumi," a traditional Japanese woodworking technique. Each timepiece is adorned with platinum leaf applied by metal leaf artist Hiroto Rakusho, giving each watch a unique character.
The bezel and bracelet showcase metal leaf-inspired textures created using structural color technology. This technology employs precision laser processing to produce colors that change with the viewing angle, blending traditional artistry with advanced technology.
Built upon the shock-resistant MRG-B2100 with its octagonal bezel, the new model utilizes advanced materials. The bezel is formed from 27 components and crafted from super-hard alloys like COBARION, while the bracelet uses DAT55G, ensuring both refined metallic beauty and toughness.
