Casio to Release MR-G Watch with Blue Sapphire Crystal Bezel
Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announces a new MR-G G-SHOCK model featuring a screwless multi-component structure and a bezel made entirely of blue sapphire crystal. Only 20 limited edition units will be produced globally.

Casio Computer Co., Ltd. is set to release a new MR-G model, expanding the flagship collection of its G-SHOCK brand of shock-resistant watches. The new MRG-D5000 is distinguished by its screwless multi-component structure and a bezel crafted entirely from blue sapphire crystal. This timepiece will be available in a limited worldwide edition of just 20 units.
The MRG-D5000 marks the first G-SHOCK watch to incorporate blue sapphire crystal into its shock-resistant structure. Casio developed the unique MR-G Multi-Guard structure, where the bezel and case are composed of multiple distinct components assembled without screws. This design prevents potential cracking of the sapphire crystal when subjected to impact. A blue sapphire crystal is also set into the screw-back case, engraved with a unique serial number for each of the 20 limited edition pieces.
Additionally, Casio is launching two other models featuring blue sapphire crystal. The MRG-B5000SA includes two-carat faceted blue sapphires at the top and bottom of its case. The fully metallic GMW-B5000SB features four blue sapphire stones set into the front bezel.
Since its debut in 1996, the MR-G collection has utilized advanced manufacturing technologies and exceptional craftsmanship to create watches that blend robustness with elegance.
