Alstom, a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, has appointed Cathy Pianon as its Chief Communications Officer. The appointment is effective October 1, 2026.

Alstom, a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, announced the appointment of Cathy Pianon as its Chief Communications Officer, effective October 1, 2026. Reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer Martin Sion, Pianon will oversee the Group's global communications functions.
Her responsibilities will encompass corporate, media, internal, and digital communications, as well as brand, events, and reputation management across Alstom's operations in more than 60 countries. The company stated that Pianon brings extensive international experience and a deep understanding of stakeholder engagement.
Pianon joins Alstom from Groupe SEB, where she held the position of Senior Executive Vice-President, Public Affairs & Communication, and Chief of Staff to the Chairman. Her prior experience includes senior leadership roles at Euro Disney and communications positions at Vivendi, Vinci, and Bureau Veritas.
Alstom highlighted that Pianon's expertise in corporate and financial communications, crisis management, and transformation initiatives will support the company's strategic priorities. Her role will focus on engaging employees and stakeholders, ensuring Alstom's leadership in innovation and sustainable mobility continues to resonate globally.
