CATL introduces high-capacity energy storage system in Australia
Battery manufacturer CATL has launched a new high-capacity energy storage solution at the All Energy 2026 event in Melbourne. The company simultaneously signed three agreements to expand its presence in Australia.

Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) has debuted a new industrial-grade energy storage system at the All Energy 2026 trade show in Melbourne. The product is designed to handle high energy density requirements, supporting the integration of large-scale renewable energy sources into regional power grids.
To facilitate market entry and deployment, CATL signed three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Australian partners. These agreements establish a framework for collaborative projects intended to bolster local energy infrastructure and support the country’s transition to decarbonized power generation.
As global demand for grid-scale battery storage rises, CATL’s move into the Australian market represents a push to compete with established local and international suppliers. The deployment of this high-capacity technology is aimed at improving grid reliability and efficiency in energy-intensive markets.
