CATL launches high-capacity energy storage system at All Energy Australia
CATL has introduced its new high-capacity storage system, TENER+, alongside a sodium-ion variant at the All Energy Australia 2026 conference.

Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) debuted its latest energy storage product, TENER+, at the All Energy Australia 2026 conference in Melbourne. The system is designed to provide increased energy density for large-scale storage applications. Alongside the primary launch, the company also presented TENER Sodium, a battery storage solution utilizing sodium-ion chemistry.
The launch was accompanied by the signing of three memoranda of understanding with local Australian partners. These agreements signify an intent to collaborate on regional energy projects, though specific financial terms and timelines were not disclosed.
This move strengthens CATL's presence in the Australian market, where grid stability and renewable integration remain high-priority issues. By offering both high-capacity lithium-based and sodium-ion alternatives, the company aims to diversify its product deployment in markets with varying storage requirements. The company will now focus on the commercial implementation of these systems in future energy infrastructure projects.
