CATL Opens Largest Battery Service Center in Europe in Norway

Chinese battery giant CATL has officially opened its largest NING SERVICE center outside of Asia in Oslo, Norway. This new 8,000 square meter facility marks a significant expansion of CATL's battery lifecycle service network within Europe.

The center is strategically located to serve Norway and the wider Nordic region, offering comprehensive battery services. These include testing, maintenance, repair, and supporting the circular economy by extending battery life and facilitating material recovery. This move addresses the growing demand for battery services in one of the world's most advanced electric vehicle markets.

CATL aims to shift the aftermarket focus from battery replacement to repair, reducing turnaround times for complex repairs and ensuring batteries remain in use at their highest value. The facility will also function as a sales agent for emerging electric applications, including marine vessels and robotics, and will be a key training hub for local technicians.

The establishment of the Oslo center aligns with CATL's global commitment to circularity and sustainable energy practices. By bringing advanced battery services closer to customers in the region, CATL strengthens its European presence and supports the ongoing electrification efforts across the continent.
