CATL reports revenue growth of 58.6% in third quarter
Chinese battery manufacturer CATL recorded a 58.6% revenue increase in the third quarter, though net profit growth slowed to 14.5%.

Battery producer CATL posted third-quarter revenue of RMB 165.22 billion on October 20, representing a 58.6% increase compared to the previous year. Net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 21.25 billion, a 14.5% rise.
For the first nine months of 2026, the company recorded total revenue of RMB 442.14 billion, up 56.2%. Net profit for the same nine-month period grew 31.6% to reach RMB 64.53 billion, indicating stronger performance in the first half of the year.
The data shows that while the supplier of electric-vehicle and energy-storage batteries continues to expand its top-line revenue, profit growth in the third quarter did not keep pace with the significant increase in sales. This suggests potential margin pressures within the battery manufacturing sector as the company scales its operations.
