CATL unveils high-capacity energy storage systems at All Energy Australia 2026
Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited has introduced its TENER+ and sodium-ion energy storage systems, alongside new partnerships in the Australian market.

CATL launched its latest high-capacity energy storage product, TENER+, at the All Energy Australia 2026 exhibition in Melbourne. During the event, the company also presented its sodium-ion-based storage solution, TENER Sodium, further expanding its portfolio of utility-scale energy hardware.
Alongside the product launch, CATL signed three separate memorandums of understanding (MoU) with local Australian partners, including Hitachi Energy. These agreements indicate a strategic intent to formalize collaborative efforts in energy infrastructure deployment across the region, though specific financial terms or project timelines were not disclosed.
The expansion into the Australian market aligns with broader industry trends as national grids seek to integrate large-scale battery storage to stabilize renewable energy fluctuations. CATL remains focused on scaling its presence in international markets by diversifying its storage technology beyond standard lithium-ion chemistries.
The introduction of these systems marks a shift toward higher density storage units designed for industrial applications. Future deployment will depend on the successful conversion of the signed MoUs into definitive supply and development contracts.
