CATL unveils new energy storage system at All Energy Australia
Battery manufacturer CATL launched its TENER+ energy storage system and signed three partnership agreements during the All Energy Australia 2026 conference in Melbourne.

Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) introduced its TENER+ energy storage system on October 29 at the All Energy Australia 2026 event in Melbourne. The launch also included the presentation of the company’s TENER Sodium system, marking a move to broaden its technological portfolio in large-scale energy storage.
Alongside the product announcements, CATL finalized three memoranda of understanding with Australian partners. These agreements focus on expanding the integration of large-scale storage solutions into Australia's energy grid, addressing local demand for improved stability in renewable energy supply.
As Australia transitions its power grid toward renewable sources, the demand for high-capacity storage has surged. CATL's focus on both lithium and sodium-ion technologies reflects a broader industry trend toward diversifying storage chemistries to optimize costs and efficiency for utility-scale projects.
These developments signify CATL's ongoing efforts to deepen its operational footprint in the Pacific region's energy storage sector.
