Caverion Acquires Austrian Building Automation Provider GTS

Caverion Oyj, a company focused on building automation and smart technologies, has completed the acquisition of Austrian firm GTS Immobilien GmbH. This move is intended to support Caverion's growth strategy and enhance its market position in smart technologies.

GTS Immobilien GmbH, established in 2006, operates in the Austrian market for building automation solutions. The company has expanded its operations beyond Austria, including to Germany, Romania, and other Central European countries. The acquisition includes GTS's automation business but excludes its Swiss operations and non-automation related activities. Approximately 40 employees are part of the transaction.

The acquisition is described by Caverion as a "bolt-on" acquisition, aimed at complementing the company's expertise and service offerings in building automation. Both companies utilize the same building automation products, which is expected to create synergies and enable the scaling of services within Caverion's existing operations. The purchase price has not been disclosed.

"The acquisition further strengthens our capability to provide smart, digital, and sustainable solutions. Knowledge around building automation is a key enabler in this area," stated Manfred Simmet, Head of Caverion's Division Austria. He sees potential in scaling up services following the integration of GTS.
