Caverion acquires Fitelnet Oy to enhance interference protection solutions

Caverion Finland has agreed to acquire Fitelnet Oy, a technology firm focused on solutions for electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection and indoor mobile networks. This move strengthens Caverion's offerings within security services and aligns with its growth strategy.

Founded in 2001, Fitelnet provides services that safeguard critical electrical systems and infrastructure against EMI. Its solutions cater to both commercial and public sector networks and meet stringent quality, security, and traceability requirements essential for defense industry and critical infrastructure clients. The company employs ten people and reports an annual revenue of approximately EUR 1.8 million.

The market demand for EMI protection solutions is projected to grow, particularly within the defense, security, and critical infrastructure sectors, including energy and data industries. The transaction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approval.

Petri Lehtinen, Head of Caverion Finland's Building Technology Projects Unit, highlighted the significance of EMP and HPM protection solutions in ensuring societal and business resilience against disruptions. He noted that such events can instantly cripple systems, leading to widespread operational capability loss. Fitelnet's expertise is expected to support Caverion's aims in securing the continuity of critical societal infrastructure.
